Follow up the tour with a visit to our exhibit (Her)story: Founders, Leaders, and Visionaries which explores the women who have shaped Clark County.

One of the oldest incorporated communities, Parker’s Landing began in 1845 when David C. Parker staked his claim amongst the Chinook-speaking Indigenous community and named the area Parkersville. By the 1870s, merchants had purchased much of the land neighboring Parkersville, giving rise to the community known today as Washougal.
