Parker's Landing National Historic Site 24 S A St, Washougal, WA

One of the oldest incorporated communities, Parker's Landing began in 1845 when David C. Parker staked his claim amongst the Chinook-speaking Indigenous community and named the area Parkersville. By the 1870s, merchants had purchased much of the land neighboring Parkersville, giving rise to the community known today as Washougal.

He is the author of Custer's Other Brother-in-Law: The Orders Book of Lieutenant Frederick S. Calhoun as well as several books on paranormal lore in the Pacific Northwest.
