SUMMARY:Campfire Tales 5: Little Couve of Horror
DESCRIPTION:Clark County Historical Museum wraps up its 2023 History on Tap season at the Kiggins Theatre on Wednesday\, Oct. 18\, with the fifth and final year of “Campfire Tales: Little Couve of Horror.” Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. \nFor this final rendition of Campfire Tales\, local historians Pat Jollota\, Brad Richardson\, and Jeff Davis bring their spookiest and creepiest stories from Clark County’s past – including never before heard haunting accounts as well as tales of vice and crime. \nBefore the main event\, see if you can figure out which tidbits of history are true and which ones are fake in our newest segment\, One History and A Lie. And learn who is the true King or Queen of trivia as we conclude this year’s head-to-head battle between the husband-and-wife duo behind our season sponsor\, My Family Guide\, Ben and Angela Surrat\, during Clark County Trivia. \nAdmission to History on Tap is $12 for CCHM members\, $15 in advance for non-members\, and $18 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Kiggins Theatre Box Office or online at https://www.kigginstheatre.com/movie/history-on-tap—campfire-tales-5/. \nThe History on Tap season is brought to you by My Family Guide. Special thanks to our show sponsors: the Historic Music Preservation Project and Realvest. Program support provided by Versa Events. \nFor more information\, contact the museum at 360-993-5679 or outreach@cchmuseum.org.

SUMMARY:Pat Jollata: A Retrospective
DESCRIPTION:The Clark County Historical Museum (CCHM) will open its 2022 History on Tap Season with “Pat Jollota: A Retrospective” at the Kiggins Theatre on April 21. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. \nNow entering its fourth season\, History on Tap looks at how the past influences our present and informs the future. It’s built on the premise that history didn’t end on some dusty date on the calendar but is a dynamic story where every person is an active participant. In this year’s opening event\, CCHM is excited to sit down with beloved local author and historian\, Pat Jollota\, to discuss her life and work. \nPat Jollota moved to Vancouver after retiring from the Los Angeles Police Department. A lover of history\, Jollota has since devoted her life to unearthing and preserving our community’s stories while continuing her passion for civic engagement and advocacy. In addition to serving at the Clark County Historical Museum for 22 years. She served on the Vancouver City Council for 20 years\, helped establish the Children’s Justice Center\, and served on countless civic organizations. Her advocacy and dedication earned her recognition as Clark County’s First Citizen for 2012. She is also the author of 8 books exploring Clark County’s history – including her newest one\, Haunted Vancouver\, Washington (September 2020). \nThe evening will include our newest segment One History and a Lie\, where audience members try to figure out which tidbits of history are true and which ones are fake. We’re also bringing back the popular Clark County Trivia with a twist! This year the crew from our presenting sponsor\, Business Over Beer\, will compete all season for the title of “King of Trivia” as they try to answer questions about Clark County and beyond. \nAdmission to History on Tap is $15 in advance\, $18 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Kiggins Theatre Box Office or online at kigginstheatre.com/movies/history-on-tap. \nThe 2022 History on Tap season is brought to you by Business Over Beer. Special thanks to our sponsors Vancouver’s Downtown Association and Mickler & Associates. Program support provided by Versa Events (formerly Wager Audio).
