In 2026, as the United States marks the 250th commemoration of the Declaration of Independence, the Clark County Historical Museum is proud to participate in the Moments That Made US exhibit. This multistate initiative invites all communities to reflect not only on the people and events that shaped the nation, but also on the local stories that made those national ideals real in everyday life.

CCHM’s partnered with local organizations to add stories from Clark County to our Moments That Made US exhibit, ensuring our community sees itself within the broader national narrative.

At CCHM, we believe that Clark County’s past has always been part of the larger American story. By bringing the national narrative and ideals into conversation with our local history, we hope to illuminate how the ideals of freedom, equality, civic participation, and community have taken shape right here at home.
